Lovely old dish.
It is Royal Worcester. The single letter underneath the circle is for the Year.
On the left is the British 'Kitemark' registration.
The top IV shows the type of material to be porcelain.
The mark on the right which looks like and E to me would date it to 1881.
The bottom of the Mark shows a D which is the month code and would be September. The second from the top looks like a 9 which is the day of the month.
The mark center left is not too important to you as it is the 'Parcel Number' or what we would call a Batch Number.
SO...Royal Worcester. Pattern Registered September 9th 1881 and it seems that this piece was actually produced in 1883 if the single letter under the Circle is a U.
The Kitemark was replaced in 1884 by the Registered Number that we are more familiar with.
I hope this is correct and I will see if I can find any name for that gorgeous pattern.

You are most welcome! It is a beautiful piece and looks like a Bone dish that cuddles up to the Dinner plate.
We drove down Humboldt Street about an hour ago and I thought of you!
The snow has been absolutely horrible!! In the City it has all gone now but in the Western Communities of Langford, Colwood and Sooke ( where I used to live) they had more snowfalls and stil have lots.
I always say that once New Years day is over then it is Spring and the fact that we are still unseasonably cold here (41 degrees today) I am still sticking to my Spring Theory.

Thanks - it is almost too big for a bone dish.
9-1/2" long and 5-1/2" wide. thanks for remembering my H. address. I have a sister in Qualicum Beach too.

The World gets smaller every day! I lived in Parksville for 14 years before getting married and moving down here!
