I think so ... it was a flight into Charlotte.
This story really spread through the city almost instantly. Everyone around here knows someone that routinely flies from NYC to Charlotte.

Wonderful outcome! I cannot imagine standing on a plane wing with ice-cold water sloshing at my feet.
A seasoned pilot, interviewed on one of the news shows, was talking about the phenomenon of the bird problem. He said he's not surprised that it does happen: "A jet plane is a blender with a vacuum cleaner attachment."

We were in NY when this happened, about 1 mile away - never saw or heard a thing - glad we skirted Manhattan instead of going through it like my GPS system kept screeching at me to do.
I had driven through there earlier in the day, and it was freezing! I looked at the Hudson and said to my husband, does that look cold or what - there was snow in the background, some ice chunks near the shore. Thank goodness nobody ended up in the water.
