OMG bj, you win! I was feeling sorry for my paltry -24. A neighboring town is -33 so I am probably somewhere in between the two. Good news is that we are at the tail end of the Alberta clipper and will get up to 18 tomorrow. Bring out the flip-flops and sunscreen! WOO HOO!
Stay warm!

We had over two weeks of that nasty stuff. I was pretty much housebound because who wants to go in that stuff unless you have too?
In the last couple of days it's warmed up to a balmy 30 - 40 degrees with freezing rain on top of our snow covered streets. The roads are simply un-drivable. The schools are closed. I tried to go somewhere yesterday and slid out of my driveway sideways.

We received this from a friend who lives in Wisoconsin.
It's winter in Wisconsin
and the gentle breezes blow,
Seventy miles an hour
at twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Wisconsin
When the snow's up to your butt
you take a breath of winter
and your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather there is wonderful
so I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Wisconsin
cause I'm frozen to the ground.

WOW Bj- the coldest I remember was -40 in Minneapolis. I was a bus rider then - but recall that if your car was not in a heated garage, it would not start. Waiting for a bus presented a whole slew of problems- Every bit of your body had to be waddled to prevent frostbite- after 20 minutes, you had to give up and go in somewhere to defrost.

jtomp here -
I moved to Boulder from Michigan and don't miss the thigh high snow that sticks around till April, but I also miss my girlfriends. I have not found people in Boulder to be very friendly. I guess it is hard to get acquainted when you don't have children in school. Oh well, there is always gambling at Black Hawk.

Lovely and sunny today but we have had a very hard winter with lots of snow which is unusual for here so I had been whining a lot!
