The expense of adding photos is one reason that I have been using Vendio to list my Ebay items. Other than also using the schedule feature of Vendio, is there a good enough reason to remain with Vendio & pay their fees? Why not just list & manage all Ebay items from the Ebay website? Any thoughts from others is appreciated.

What eBay gives today, they take away (or exert invasive controls over) tomorrow.
History shows eBay never gives anything away without a plan to increase profit--at the sellers expense--from it in the future.

The bottom line for me is that I have never liked the idea of putting "all my eggs" in eBay's "basket".

Whether at Vendio or elsewhere, I have no plan to host photos at eBay.

Another drawback to eBay's "free pictures" is the quality and size. I'll stick with Vendio.

Ebay should have done this years ago. Ditto Max, until EBay increases the size and quality of their hosted pics, I'll stick with Vendio.

#1 reason NOT to use eBay and stick with VENDIO;

LIMITED CATEGORIES.....just another gimmick to try and catch the seller in excess fees. Load 12 photos and put them in a "wrong" category..BAM! 35¢ for each one...and as always, remember to qualify for the FREE photos with eBay you will need a 4.98273% on each DSR...same 'ol BS

I'm sticking with vendio since I have found them to be very reliable over the years and they just keep getting better unlike you know where!

I have no problem with Vendio-just trying to cut costs.

Why not just list & manage all Ebay items from the Ebay website?

My guess is you haven't tried to list directly to ebay lately. If you had, you wouldn't be asking that question.

Personally, I am using Auctiva. It's free. But if you use Vendio, I agree with the others that do, keep using Vendio.

Plus there is no time limit for how long your photos say on Vendio. You decide.

I was thinking about using Ebay to host as well, but the size and quality just stink and those are the categories where quality and size count.

I have listed an item just using Ebay & taking advantages of the free photo offer. The photos in the ad look fine to me (the photos were uploaded from my computer directly to Ebay). Any comments appreciated. This is the URL:

The photos are perhaps too good -- there are clearly visible fingerprints in the third picture. (Sorry!)

Thanks Fluff. Yes, we do have to watch out for fingerprints in a closeup photo. There have been comments that listing directly with Ebay isn't desirable due to poor photo quality. I'm just trying to find another way to list items other than using Vendio (to save costs).

Hello,

The question is - 'how good *could* they look' ?

Id also upload the same pics to another service (any service that doesn't compress your originals down to save themselves server space) so you can get a proper comparison.

Regards,
Chris
