I use Vendio SM and image hosting but have never tried that rolling gallery thingy. Does anyone here use the vendio gallery and if so do you think it makes any difference in hits, sales or both? Is it really free?

I've tried it twice in the past. It did not help sales, in fact I think it was detrimental. I cursed myself for being an idiot while I stripped the gallery code out of all those auctions.
In other words, if you try it and you don't like it, it's a pain to get rid of.

Hello,
Some users report great feedback from the gallery tool, but there will always be some that do not see additional traffic as a result. It all depends on how well established you are already and how likely a potential buyer looking at one of your items is to check out your other items before moving on to another seller.
If you let us know, we have a tool to aid in the process of removing it from your listings automatically if you don't find that it worked out for you. (you don't have to manually go through the code to remove it.)

I noticed an immediate uptick in views when I added the Vendio Gallery; however, I've wondered whether it can also be a deterrent, a distraction for buyers.

lokanath - of all the items we checked, it looked like the gallery is already running in your listings. Was there one in particular your having trouble viewing the gallery within?
