Ive had an Acer Monitor for about 5 years now and it's great. Ive seen others that feel like they are a bit more solidly built, but this has never failed me once and was nearly $100 less than the closest model.
It certainly would be nice to have that widescreen display for um, work. (Movies!)

I have an Acer 22 that I bought on AMZN that's pretty nice. I like it better for graphics than text. Paid about 150 for it and considered it a good deal. 139 shipped is a steal. TigerDirect is a great company to deal with BTW.
One word of caution, my Acer is connected with the DVI cable. When connected with VGA it looks terrible. It came with a DVI cable, many monitors don't. Might be worth checking with them to see if it includes the DVI cable as that'll set you back a few bucks more.
