Today I cannot pay for anything through PayPal; got a notice that they're restricting my account because of "suspicious activity." I've called PP, but the wait time on the phone is horrendous. Is anyone else suddenly having this problem??

I haven't received any notices, but I haven't used my account yet. I am planning to make a withdrawal in an hour or so.

A message came in my e-mail and said to go to my PayPal account (no link provided). I know it's for real, since I'm unable to either buy or sell through PayPal right now. I've gone through all the hoops to change my password, confirm my address, credit card, bank account, etc. I have auctions ending tonight, and I'm to look occasionally at my credit card account. When the $1.95 charge (!!) from PayPal comes through, there'll be a 4-digit number which I'm to take to PayPal and make everything hunky-dory. What a major pain! No money has disappeared mysteriously from my account; whenever I have a chunk of money in PayPal, I transfer all but $200 to our bank. If PayPal has reacted to that recent transfer, this will have been a stupid tempest in a teapot.
You can tell I'm really ticked off!

I wonder if someone is trying to access your account from one of those 'forbidden ' countries!
You can try sending your high bidder a Google invoice but then they may think it is a scam!
