What are the chances that Nixon really wrote this postcard to his tape editor?

It looks legit to me.

Especially because it is a well-known fact that Richard Nixon had the handwriting of an adolescent female.

Looks a bit fishy to me and such bad photos of the card as well.

Well... It does say Nixon and something about editing some tapes. <g>

This is a very clever seller who will probably get his listing pulled for fraud. There are so many obvious signs that this is not a real Richard Nixon card.

I suspect this is a gag sent from Dick xxxx (see note right above the Dick signature) to his buddy Randy Watson in Ohio.

Even if tricky Dick were dumb enough to send a post card, the SS would have never let it leave the Whitehouse.

I would have had more fun with it and said it was a postcard sent by Deep Throat with the intent to leak the info about the tapes. A dem postal carrier would have naturally read the note on the card and called the Washington Post.

There wasn't a Cleveland White House that I recall. It isn't even a forgery - it's a joke and the seller didn't get it.

I think it was a joke and the seller got it - notice the question mark after Watergate in the subtitle. I also think there's something on the front left side that the seller doesn't want us to see.

seller has been inactive on ebay for 4 years...

Here's how Mr. Nixon signs his name:

Interesting, as a seller 0 FB, no returns accepted.

I know I could find better use of $500.

Interesting comparison of the Nixon signatures - wonder what a shrink would say? Descent into madness??? Funny how the little curlicue on the bottom of his "x" points left in 1968 and right in 1973
