Thanks for the alert on this. However, I'm having the same problem as jtomp...I've followed the directions for opting out of te photo sharing eBay is doing...but my preference doesn't change...It still says "yes". Any suggestions?

You are hitting the save button aren't you? There have been a lot of glitches lately with so many of us trying to opt out, hope it works for you soon.

I have now opted out 3 times, I hit the submit button each time and get the message that my changes have been saved, but when I check the next day, it is back to "yes"

Yes, I'm hitting "save" but am having the same problem as amber...When I check, I still have "yes" as my preference. Any work-arounds? I DON'T want others to use my photos!

Mine still says no, I am not sure what the problem could be. Cookies or cashe?

I have followed the steps for opting out at least 7 times and cannot get it to work. It still says yes. And yes, I am hitting the save button. I contacted the email help at eBay three days ago and have not gotten any answer yet. Probably when I do it will be one of those canned answers that don't even remotely apply to the problem.

If you get any response, jtomp, please post here...this is frustrating!

WHOOPEE!!! On my 9th visit to "Site Preferences" I noticed that I wanted to change another option, so clicked on that edit button and got a sign in page. Signed in and made my change and it worked - then I went to the photo option section submitted the change, went back to the first page, clicked on show and guess what - it worked - I got a NO! So, it seems the solution is to pick an option that calls for signing in even if you are already signed in and then going to the photo sharing space.
Hope this helps.

Congrats, jtomp! I finally got mine to work too. I'd noticed when I first started this process that the box (for opting out) was already checked. So...I "unchecked" it first then went ahead and checked it myself. This last time, when I went to the opt-out page, the little box was NOT "pre-checked"...so, checked it myself and, voila...my preference now says "No". Yea! Guess the lesson is to keep plugging away.

I finally got it to say "no" after 7 attempts. I changed one of my other preferences to get the sign in page, (then changed it back), and then the photo option worked. eBay sure doesn't make things easy!!
