Most of these images I have came from along the West Coast, centralized in Oregon and Washington. Some were in California and a few in Canada. Any help is appreciated of where these may be. I assume the car with the palm trees is in California, but what kind of car is it? Same car in two photos.

Aha...you just beat me to it!
Unless the top of the photo is blurred it does seem to be missing it's wonderful top.
I only live 5 minutes from there now that I have moved.

I still think the cars are the same. These photos all came from the same family estate. I have other photos with the same car in it too.

Was waiting for you to jump in there, otteropp. I use to live 5 minutes from there. My dad was a chef at the Empress Hotel many years ago. As kids, we used to go to the "unknown soldier" statue in front of the Parl Bldgs and swipe the pretty bows off the wreaths. Times were boring in those days. No TV either.

I keep meaning to take a photo of Humboldt Street as it looks now and post it here for you, it is totally unrecognizable.
I love our Legistlature Buildings, the building and lawns are used by the public and it really is 'Our House'.

Look closely at the cars. Car one has a one piece windshield and is a high end car and may be a Packard I can't see enough ID markers to be sure.
Car 2 has a two piece windshield common in US family cars until as late as 1950 also car 2 has fog lights on the bumper car 1 does not. Car 2 has a Chevy "feel" to it. There isn't enough of the grill showing to be sure. It could be Plymouth or DeSoto from the mid to late 30's. For certain it is not a Ford product. Around 1940 The American car companies up dated there models. then there was WW2 so the 1940 style lasted until around 1948-49.

the one with the cannon I think is at the Presidio in Ca. and the other the Golden Gate Bridge. I think the car with the palms maybe a Hudson. The other Pontiac or Plymouth ?

I didn't even notice that I mixed up my photos on the two cars. I have another photo of the same car w/the palm trees, but I can't find it. Those definately are not the same car... the other thing is the car with the fog lights also has a split window. This reminds me of those old puzzles where you look at two similar images and find the things different. lol.
I did have someone come into our store today that is a vintage hot rod car part guy, and suggested the car with the Palm Trees is a Dodge Brothers (pre-Dodge), though he wasn't positive.

The first is the Tower of the Sun at the San Francisco World's Fair. The palm drive could be almost any where. Might be in Westlake Park in Los Angeles or Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. BTW, a mid-century friend from Salem visited your B+M store Saturday and was very impressed...

The next to last one looks like landscape near the Dalles or Washington. I would guess a ferry.

Thanks pixia.
We try real hard to keep up with it, but sometimes it is a beast all its own. lol.
We've talked about trying to sell the store, especially now that Whole Foods is opening in the neighborhood and things are starting to turn around. Business is really good too. We had our best year last year and the summer has been very good as well. A few ups and downs, but we're stable again.
The worst was last December with the horrid snow storm. I think that literally sunk many small businesses over the following months. Our best month this year was January, but we've done really good most of 2009 in general.
We've kicked the idea around for the last two years, mostly b/c of her bout with lymphoma and my knee injury. We've got a year left on our lease, with an option for another 5 years. Seems like a good time to explore the idea and see if a good offer comes along. Who knows.
