I can recall that at one time someone had a concern regarding PayPal Seller Protection for items sold at a site other than ebay. I cannot recall if the issue was settled. So ...
Someone just purchased a few items from inventory that remains in our Vendio store. They paid with PayPal. PayPal email indicates the transaction is eligible for seller protection. "Seller Protection - Eligible"

Yes, it is eligible as long as you jump through all of Paypal's hoops.
They changed this last year about the time they were making all of those changes including offering seller protection for International shipments ONLY to Power Sellers, and then eventually to all sellers.
It was a confusing mess until they got everyone in on it. It never made any sense to NOT cover shipments for items outside of ebay. Paypal allows these people to sign up and should verify their info before allowing them to use their system. After all, how can a seller obtain their info if Paypal has it under lock and key?
I am glad PP got their act together on this. It is one of the few things they ever got right.
