I had a guy buy an ad, didn't pay, didn't respond so I filed for my FVF's and he did not respond to eBay.

I received my FVFs and left him "negative" positive (just said that he never paid or responded, nothing nasty). I relisted the item and blocked him from future bidding.

Today he pays and I get this from eBay:

Case type: Unpaid item
Case status: Closed. Strike Reversed.
The Unpaid Item strike has been removed for the buyer for this transaction.

Although I had blocked him, I guess he paid for the item and it is closed again. I am going to go check but right now I am wondering a couple of things:

1. Can he kill my feedback and stars? Since he did not respond to the Resolution Center during the unpaid item time period...

2. Do I have to do business with him? I would like to just refund him the money.

3. How many listing and fvf fees am I paying?

Boy does that suck. In other words, the buyer has as long as he pleases to pay for the item.
Filing non-paying bidder and closing the sale is useless.
He shouldn't be able to leave feedback, but keep us informed.
Maybe you shouldn't have left the Neg/Pos. It might have given him and opening.

It wasn't really bad, just said:

Never paid or responded to seller or eBay...F-

And I was not the first. In fact I was his third, which is why he paid, I guess.

Poop!

This is one area that ebay got it right for future sales. After some date in the near future - once you have filed for NPB - he can't leave you FB at all, if I read it correctly. Hopefully that time is really soon so you will not have to worry.

The same thing happened to me. I filed and closed the case a few days later the buyer paid me. I returned his payment and no more was said from me or from him.

But I didn't leave him FB, I never leave FB when I file for my FVF. He didn't leave me FB either but I don't know if it was because he couldn't or because he just didn't want to.

I always thought that if a buyer doesn't respond to your NPB filing then they couldn't leave you FB

Ebay States:
For transactions involving an unpaid item, Feedback left by buyers may be removed when:

A buyer doesn't respond to the unpaid item reminder.

Decided to send the item, and received this today from the buyer:

Received item - excellent packages, wonderful delivery. Would like to please leave positive feedback, but unable per "Resolve Dispute" block.

Again, apologies for earlier confusion.

So, yes, buyer can take forever to pay; no they cannot leave feedback if they did not respond to dispute. And, I never heard back from eBay to find out how this happens.

Perhaps the buyer was ill or unable to pay for items or answer dispute in a timely manner and sold/told his story to eBay who told him/her to pay up and strikes would be removed. Did they reverse the FVF?
