Bidder won an item that offers free usa shipping, but charges for International.

Her address that is shown in ebay is in Thailand. She emails me and wants to know why she didn't get invoiced for free shipping b/c she is in the usa.

I responded to her to change the address so that it would reflect it on ebay's system and I would send her another invoice with the corrected shipping amount.

She insists she updated it, but it still shows Thailand. She has zero feedback, but has been registered since March.

Can bidders change their invoice address after the auction ends? I don't see where I can correct it.

I prefer using ebay invoicing, especially under the circumstances of a newbie with a Thailand address that apparently isn't correct.

I have been suspicious of this transaction from the beginning. I don't know why I would suspect that someone is trying to get free shipping or trying to scam me in this. Let's see... Zero Feedback, Country Origin is Thailand but buyer wants it shipped within USA.

I asked her to change the address... she claims she already did. Ebay invoicing still shows Thailand.

I emailed her and requested her USA address. She sends it to me. I send her an invoice via Paypal with the USA address listed for shipping address. I receive payment, but the address is the Thailand address. In the notes it reads, "Shipping Address: xxxxxx"

I refund her payment with an explanation and request she sends payment with the correct address shown in Paypal and it MUST be confirmed. I gave her until tomorrow to do this correctly and show a confirmed address. If not, I am filing for my FVF and relisting it.

What bothers me is that this bidder may screw up my good feedback. What happens if I end up refusing to sell it to her b/c none of her info matches? I imagine she can still leave negative feedback (perhaps not DSRs b/c her address is in Thailand), etc...?

I may call ebay regarding this one. She may end up doing things correct, but I still have my doubts.

I think negative feedback won't count, since her registered address is outside of the US.

Has that rule started? If it was to start on the 22nd - that great, you're in the clear.

I ended up cancelling the transaction. This woman claimed repeatedly she updated the address both in ebay and paypal... yet nothing shows up. I even called ebay. Their representative couldn't confirm changes to her account, but did recommend I simply cancel it under the circumstances. I took that as "watch you back" on this one. Ebay also refunded my listing fees.
