Am I wrong here? Our seller status used to be geared by our feedback. But, now there's a "Most favored seller" status (maybe its most trusted seller) that rates a seller based on their DSR ratings. From the research I've done it appears that a seller can have DSR's of 4.9 and 5.0 and be declared a "most favored seller" even though he has a feedback rating of 98% and I have feedback rating of 100%. Has anyone elese caught this seemingly odd issue? Or do I just read it inaccurately?

I don't like either system. A simple "would you buy from this seller again" yes or no would be much more accurate.

I understand what you are saying kcproduc but I don't think it's clear yet how the new system will work with DSR verse FB. I don't think you can be a TRS (top rated seller)if you have negatives but I don't really know for sure.
Anyone??

The labrynth of criteria that ebay has created for DSR calculations borders on insanity. Sellers can not understand it, and you can bet that buyers do not. Buyers do not care either. Bottom line is if you do not bow to all seller demands, you will get dinged in DSR's and ebay will not show your items in searches. They are the lord of the manor, and we are but serfs that serve at their pleasure!

I have one neg from Oct 9, 2008. I'm a TRS. My DSRs are 4.9/4.9/4.9/4.7.

That very evil 4.7 is for shipping costs, of which about 20% of the items I sell include free shipping. The very idea that a buyer can rate you on shipping costs when shipping costs are clearly stated in the auction before they bid is total BS. I searched for a few sellers that offer exclusively free shipping on all of their listings and I found their shipping cost rating to be in the 4.7 to 4.8 range.

What is funny (sad) to me is scrolling through all of my sales over the last 60 days. If the bidder is exclusively a bidder, they have a FB rating of either 100% or 0%. There is no in between any more. It means absolutely nothing.

I agree with the posters on this one. The system is like reading an IRS booklet. And let's keep changing the rules to confuse everyone.

My DSRS are 5 / 4.9 /5 /5.

Communication is 4.9. What the heck!! I am not your buddy on Facebook. I send timely invoices in addition to Ebay's invoices. I notify them when item is shipped. What else can I do to COMMUNICATE?!?

I am not a TRS. I have 3 baddies in description, don't know how, don't know when and 5 in shipping.

I am not chasing these #s any more because it is impossible to figure out how to improve service when you are graded mysteriously.

The few items I have purchased on Ebay, I would never think to leave a 1 or 2. Until this silly system emerged I had not idea that I had any. 4s maybe, but 1 or 2s with all glowing feedback notations. Unbelievable!!

The bidder knows how much is shipping, what business is Ebay how much we charge for shipping?
I thought Ebay is just a venue??
