I give up! I've gone through 3 reference books (twice) but have been unable to find this Fenton pattern. Hopefully, some Fenton guru on this board can help identify the pattern. Also, would the color be called black amethyst? Thanks!

Glass is not my speciality but could this have been made by Northwood instead of Fenton?

It looks like one that I had a few years ago.

No, it'd definitely Fenton...it's marked "Fenton" on the bottom. Thanks...

Appreciate the thought...I'm still hoping someone will recognize the pattern.

Which 3 books have you checked?
I have 4 Fenton books and I'll look in whichever one(s) you don't have.

My library had Fenton Art Glass (Coe), Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass and Warman's Carnival Glass. I also checked a general antiques guide by Warman which has a pretty good glass section at the beginning. Appreciate any help!

I didn't see it in my books but does it look like this item - #180420682563

I believe that if it's mark Fenton it's not old carnival glass as they didn't mark pieces until the 70's or so.

I don't know if you already checked here but I just saw this link on the PS Board - users say it's the best online resource:

I wonder if it is a Pinwheel Compote (contemporary) http://www.ddoty.com/pinwheelcomp.html

THANKS, neglus...think that might be it! I didn't check the ddoty site (but have bookmarked it for future reference). Interesting but the "Starburst" pattern mentioned was not listed and my piece looks a lot like that too. But, think the pinwheel is probably what mine is. Appreciate your help and time!
