I received two emails from Paypal regarding a bank reversal on a payment. The first notified me they were holding the funds during the investigation. The second one asked me for information regarding the transaction, particularly the tracking number. What bugs me is that I printed the label thru Paypal, so they already have it.
Three days now trying to get ahold of Paypal. I have signed on my Paypal account and followed the dispute. No place for me to add the tracking info. So, I go to "Contact Us". Try to click the link, "Call Us" and I get an error message that reads:
---------------
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I have deleted my cookies, cleared my cache... so that isn't the problem. I tried to use a different computer to get the info, that didn't work.
Anyone have a number for Paypal I can call?

The phone number is 1-888-221-1161. You'll need a temporary PIN number, so try going to https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact_us first, click on call us and log in to get the pin number. If you still have problems, trying clearing your cache.

Thanks, but unfortunately I get the same message when I click "Call Us". Can you try it on your end and see if you get the error message too?
Just tried that link and it gave me this phone number: 1-402-935-2050. Maybe you don't need a PIN with that number.

I got a phone number and PIN with FF. Didn't try Chrome. But a lot of times I use Chrome like when I'm using BING Cashback shopping or something.

Did they give you an option to fax it in?

I don't know what it is GG, but somehow the ebay and PayPal support numbers become least available to us when we need them most. Thank God I have Neglus, who is able to dig up the numbers when I can't find them.

Have you tried the phone number on the back of your paypal card?
I haven't called them in ages but hopefully you don't need a pin number for that phone number.

The 402 number needs a PIN. I emailed them a few days ago and got a response... their response was:

My question I sent was: I am having trouble contacting Paypal regarding a dispute. I need a phone number so I can call Paypal. When I click the "Call Us" link I get the following message: (I've already posted it above).
How confusing is that????
Oh, and I should add... 1) there is only one transaction on my account that has a dispute. How hard is that to figure out? duh! 2) Paypal emailed me requesting tracking information. I printed the label through Paypal. Shouldn't Paypal already have it? 3) If they truly need the tracking info, shouldn't there be a place in the dispute for me to provide that information? There isn't. I added it to the notes, but I'm not even sure Paypal will read it considering how they responded to my previous attempt at contacting them.

glassgrl- I would love to know the answer to that question as well. I find it quite odd that I can access everything other than get the number and PIN.
I just tried on a 3rd computer. Same thing. It is so odd as it affects both of my paypal accounts. I've never had this before... ever!
I'm wondering if it has something to do with a security setting or add on or something. Odd that it affects 3 computers, 2 accounts, 2 locations, 3 web browsers. Nothing works.
I'm on the phone with eBay to have them help with contacting Paypal.

Why cant you just call their customer service number and tell them you have a problem with their website?
yes, when we print the shipping label,a tracking number is usually generated, but in a dispute,Paypal does not want to assume this is the tracking number,it wants you to tell them what is the tracking number?
is there a Paypal case number assigned to it?
Try printing a Paypal dispute form and then enter your information and fax it to them.

I called eBay. Their CSR transferred me to Paypal. I gave the Paypal CSR the information. She thinks it may be an issue with our ISP. We use Comcast at home and work, so that could very well be the problem... however she escalated that issue to tech support to figure it out and will let me know what is up via email when she gets a response.
As for the tracking info paypal requested... even though paypal requested that information from me via email, the system automatically used the tracking info for this item, which is why I wasn't able to add. They already had it. Nice to know, eh? She reviewed the transaction, tracking info and credited my account for the reversal.
I'm still perplexed about not being able to access the page when everyone else can.

I have comcast broadband But I always sign on to AOL and access Ebay and PAYPAL ,no problem so far.
Good to hear your tracking number problem is resolved.
Once I print a label on Paypal with auto tracking number but I decided to slap a green DC lable on the package as well,it turns out the green one is the one Post office scanned.
So in my case, the tracking number on Paypal site is not a valid one for me,some folks I know will use a different carrier in the last minutes (as they have other packages going with that carrier) and void the label they printed on Paypal later.
