Here's a script for importing “Vendio Closed Auctions” into Excel 2007 which you can then save in CSV format. It may help get you where you want to go. Works great for me.
Browser used – Firefox
• Copy closed auctions
• Paste into “Notepad”
• Save as .txt file (before saving you must name the file…ie.(”Downloading Vendio”)
• Open Excel
• Click on “Office” button
• Click on “Open”
• Choose “Text Files” from drop down titled “Files of Type”
• Select “Downloading Vendio”
• Click “Open”……”Text Import Wizard” will open
• Check delimited button
• Click next
• Check tab box under “Delimiters”
• Click next
• Click “General” radio button under “Column Data Format”
• Highlight column w/ auction numbers
• Click text radio button
• Highlight column w/ 1 or 1/1
• Click text radio button
• Click finish……Excel will not be populated
• Click “Find & Select” drop down
• Click replace
• Type “Show Detail” in “Find What” box
• Click “Replace All” button
• Sort oldest to newest using sort function
• Copy and paste into “Closed Auctions” folder
You can now save your excel file in CSV format.
Good luck!
If we cant export how can we tell if we are using the right format when creating items in bulk in open office or excell. Is there an example template you can send us so we can compare, we dont even know whether to use YES or NO or 0 or 1 for enabling and disabling features.
