What is the best venue besides Ebay for selling old postage stamps? I have sold stamps on Ebay in the past, but am wondering if there has been a migration to another site?
If you are willing to ship globally, I suggest that you list in both the DelCampe International and DelCampe United States sites at no additional charge. Your items would appear in a search of US items and International items.
A recent post on the DelCampe site leads me to believe that they are growing at eBay's expense.
"Since a couple of weeks, the website has been experiencing some technical difficulties and is facing some instabilities. This is mainly because our servers were overcharged. Don't forget that more and more members visit the website each day!"
"We are aware of the difficulties you can feel, and that more difficulties can currently arise. But, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding... this will soon be rewarded!"

Thanks Bill. Exactly the info I have been looking for. There appear to be a lot of wanna be venues out there for stamps with minimal listings. Ebay has gotten out of hand on their listing fees and paypal charges for selling stamps. I mean if you sell a $10 stamp, you don't end up with much after the fees at Ebay. I will check out these other sites. Greg

BTW, can the buyers pay with check or MO via the mail at these sites? I have found that a lot of stamp buyers like using the mail to pay and like to get a letter in return with actual canceled stamps on it. Ebay's insistence on all auctions running through paypal is overkill in my view. Isn't it nice that the evil bankers get a cut of every transaction done with plastic/credit in this country? Schmucks. Rant off. Sorry. Now I am off to the sites.
