I have several big bins of 45's that I have collected over the years in my garage saleing.

I have purchased a USB turntable to convert the music to digital and would like to put some mp3 clips of the records on my auctions.

Has anyone done this that can recommend how to do it? Preferably the easiest way . I don't see that Vendio supports mp3 clips.

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

you should be able to host an mp3 clip somewhere online, and then html the link into the listing including a media player that will play it. i've seen some that play the music the moment you click on the listing. i do not like that at all!!! i think buyers find that annoying. i prefer being able to have the choice rather than have it rammed down my throat, or at the very least scare the bejesus out of me b/c my speakers were turned up.

I found ecommerce player online on which you can host up to 5 mp3's at a time for free. I will probably try that first--the price is right Maybe one of the 45's is rare--you never know! As always, with anything new, I have a technical learning curve to work through. Thanks for your response.

Much like shag I don't bother with music or vids posted in eBay ads or any other place. Slows my search and there is always the chance, not you of course, that some scum bucket has added in a virus.
45's reek of the rock and roll era every song ever sung from the late 50's to today is on a CD some place I'm not sure how profitable your venture would be. I trust you are aware that all music recorded in the last 40-50 years or more is copywrited.

you don't have to worry about copyright if you are selling the actual item you are playing. music stores don't pay annual ASCAP fees b/c they sell the music.

I usually back out of auctions that play music. Most times it's just annoying, and slows the auction download.

I Read the post to quickly and wrongly assumed the poster was going to sell the recorded music and keep the 45's. Apologies to all!

Not looking for auto play. Just looking for an MP3 button to install on the page for the bidder to push so they can hear a snip of the music. Ecommerce player appears to do that. Thanks for all of the replies. Greg
