I've received 3 eBay certificates this past month. Top Rated Seller, 2 Power Sellers...

I think I'm going to laminate mine and use them as placemats. LOL.

Might as well, they're too thick for TP.

Yeah, they should just email us and we can print it if we want.

"they should just email us and we can print it if we want."

Not what I would be using my printer ink on!

Hello, wgonzales, the point is you do NOT have to print it, no one really wants / needs the cert.

I wish I had saved all my ebay mail from over the years. There has got to be a market for it all.

I knew that, merrie.

My knee jerk reaction to getting my certificate was "What am I? In grade school?"
Of course, now that I see that I might actually get a bid if I list it on eBay, it puts a whole different slant on it.
Wonder if eBay will decide that we are not allowed to list these for sale....

Let's see how much the auction goes for. I wouldn't pay $2.95 to ship a piece of paper.

Well, I have been selling on eBay for 12 years. I am a top rated seller, Power seller and I have over 10,000 feedbacks, but I have NEVER had a certificate, I never even get an email to say there is a reduced listing day! I rely on you guys here to post it.

New idea.... I'm going to make photocopies of my certificates and use the paper to wrap items I ship. That way I can share my success with my customers.

Wow! You got a bid! I didn't even know there was an ebay-ana category. That does seem to be the best thing to do with these stupid certificates. To me they represent the total contempt the eBay execs hold for the selling community. Do they seriously think we would be appeased/motivated by a cheesy certificate (think kindergarten)?? Those Bain MBA's are in la-la-land!

This is an interesting analysis/forecast regarding Ebay written about two and a half years ago.

Deutsche Bank conference, 2007.

“It’s hard to bring the fun back because the novelty has worn off after 10 years.”
