If you mean a buyer on eBay, I think they are eliminating the ability for ebay sellers to access email addresses of buyers this summer. Perhaps they have done this earlier in Australia? You might try contacting through eBay's messaging system.

if you have more to list, just use the cancelled auction to list it.
go to help and type in something relevant and at the bottom of all that information, they would ask does this answer your problem,if not, contact us.

I am a seller who double listed the same auction. i cancelled 1 auction and left one. just wanted to get a listing fee back. i went thru their contact ebay system and asked it lots of questions and tried to get an email to ask for a credit. but could not find any way to email ebay. they have made it very difficult to write to ebay. i dont have any auctions to list at the moment so i cannot use the relist feature. Thanks for your help everyone. appreciated

If this buyer uses the same user name as when he's selling, could you just search for auctions that guy has either won or sold? Sometimes there's a contact buyer/seller link on the auction page.

roadsmith. I think you have misunderstood. there is no customer. i realised that i had double listed an auction when i went back to check them to make sure all was ok.that is when i discovered i had double listed.

agate...I did the same thing a few days ago but I went in and revised the whole auction and put in a new item however as you have already cancelled your extra one...that won't help.

Maybe from the huge number of drop-down lists that eBay now provides when you try to contact them you should select the 'Billing question' and type in your request.

I am not certain that it was me that actually double listed mine...I think it just happened so maybe if it happened that way to you then you could just say it double posted and give them both of the Auction numbers and explain that you cancelled one immediately.

I agree, it is almost impossible to contact them directly now.

For a Company that is constantly telling the Sellers here that we must improve our Customer Service they are not exactly a role model in fact they have the worst Customer Service of any Company that I have ever dealt with!!

Good luck...you should be able to get a credit.

Edited for typos!

niel35 Yes it does say insertion fees aren't refundable. but it does not say anything about a double auction listing for the same article. which is what i done. i found it pretty fast and cancelled the last one listed. so i am entitled to a refund.

your 100% correct IN EVERY WAY. They should lead by example. (Fat chance of that happening).

PIXIAMOM. i cannot find anyone in ebay to contact. i spent an hour looking for a contact point. not a single one.i just wanted to make a request for a refund.

I have 1 more avenue to try and i will let you all know if it works. probably tomorrow.

agate18 - I contacted them the other day and got an answer - but I'm afraid I don't remember all of the steps. I know I started with the "contact us button" (at the top of any ebay page). Then you just have to keep making choices - just pick what's closest to your problem - keep making more choices and eventually you'll get a prompt that says something like "need more help? e-mail us" and then there will be a button for you to click so you can send them an e-mail

Go to your "My Ebay" page. Click "contact us". When you get to "Tell Us Your Problem", I ALWAYS enter "Billing" no matter what the problem is.

This automatically gives me the phone number, email, and live chat.

ebay is usually good about refunding for listing errors.

Good luck getting a refund! Vendio frequently hiccups when I list and I get a duplicate listing. I'm lucky when I catch it, end the duplicate listing, never thought to ask EBay for a refund! (It wasn't their fault). When I'm unlucky and don't spot it, I end up selling the same item twice, refund the second buyer, get refunded only my Paypal fees and usually end up shipping something for free to maintain goodwill.

SORRY I DID NOT ANSWER YESTERDAY . I HAVE BEEN BUSY.
Thank you every one.very much appreciated. one of the things i done was to call powersellers. and they gave me a credit for the double listing that i had to cancel. I have stored the other links this morinng our time here for future use. It is a pity that ebay is making it so difficult to get in touch with them by email now.

i did try all the suggestions given. thanks.
