Last 12 transactions, 3 left feedback. Lovely.

Are you selling feedback? We went out of the feedback business last year. You should consider the same.

My point was that eBay's feedback reminders sent to buyers does absolutely nothing to improve the feedback system.

It is worse on AMZN,most buyers received the book, case closed.
They dont bother to leave feedback,we dont leave feedback when we buy from walmart or nordstrom or even USPS .
But the ones who leave feedback are the disgruntled ones and AMZN is using this metric to judge how good a seller is.

Shag,
you can remind the buyer to leave you feedback, some sellers do that.
But you cant force people to leave feedback, some do,some dont.
Some do it months or weeks later.

I recall someone who used to post here who said that he sent out feedback reminders to his buyers and got back a slew of negatives. If somebody doesn't want to leave feedback, that's fine with me.

One major problem with the feedback system on both Amazon and eBay is this: The buyer may get that gentle reminder days after the item has arrived. He may not remember how fast he got the book, or how much shipping I charged, so he may just downgrade in the feedback somewhat. Especially in shipping costs, so many of them are disgruntled that they generalize, I believe, that ALL shipping is overcharged and downgrade that.

Consistently, on Amazon and eBay, my shipping categories, while always in the upper 90%, are lower than any other category, and I charge very very little, maybe 50 cents, over the actual shipping charge.

I send a reminder with eBay and Amazon items, asking the seller to leave feedback and I will reciprocate with feedback (I don't promise what the feedback will be, of course.)

I feel that no news is good news. If they are unhappy that's when you heard from them - either with not so great FB or an email wanting money back.

OR you can get what I did yesterday, 2 excellent comments but neutrals from a newbie. Would far rather they hadn't bothered!
