I came across several booksellers on AMZN saying Ebay claimed to be selling lots of books? and I dont mean Half.com
Is that true?
Do we have anyone here who sell books on Ebay?
I went to ALIBRIS which has a program which list your books on multiple sites such as Barnes and Noble,Buy.com,Half.com and Ebay etc and Alibris claimed they are ramping up big time to sell on Ebay,as long as you price your books right, they will sell fast on Ebay.
Anyone here knows more about this program?

I don't know about any eBay program for books, but I've been selling books on eBay as well as Amazon for years. In my opinion, books are a tough sell on eBay. I don't think many people go into the Books category and just browse, even in a sub-category, as much as we'd wish. The trick, I think, is to find the OTHER category(s) that the book fits into--like transportation, collectibles/historical, entertainment memorabilia, etc. Even so, I may sell one in three books that I list on eBay, and those go for very little.

I usually look at a book I've found at a thrift shop or yard sale. Do I want to read it? If so, it goes on my reading pile. Otherwise, I research Amazon for the book to see what the competition is, and then, if hopeless there (1-cent books!!!), I may try eBay IF there's a good fit in a category or sub-category. If not, it goes back to the thrift shop.

The Antique/collectibles books category, however, might be worth listing in if the book is either very rare or in decent condition. Very iffy there. I often double-list when I sell books.

These days book sellers go shopping with this gadget which tells them how much the books sell for on AMZN,I dont recall what it is called but there is a thread here which talked about it.
But Barnes and Noble would not let just anyone/everyone sell on their site, they want a seller who has been in business and has at least a few hundred books to sell.
I think it is a good idea, how can a professioanl bookseller compete when someone will read a book at the airport and decides to get rid of it by listing it for 99 cents online.

Not just the antiques/collectibles section, rare occult/paranormal/witchcraft books sell well,I recall early years there are books such as Lesser key of Solomon,Aleister Crowly 's Magick (PARIS EDITION).
Now they are loaded up with cheap junk.

I've heard that college level textbooks sell well - but I don't know that from personal experience.
