Help! I need a really easy, simple (like the old Photodeluxe 2 software) image editing program that includes a cloning tool. Any recommendationn, possibly something a 10-year-old could handle? (That's about the way I feel now after tryting to learn Nova Photo Explosion 4. Way too complicated.)

I'm still using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. I have the later Photoshop programs but prefer the 2.0 believe or not because it is much simpler and takes up less room on the computer. The others have a lot of bloatware that I don't have use for. It does have a cloning tool.

Why do you need to upgrade? If you find that it doesn't work with newer Windows, you can make the software run in compatibility mode to an older version of Windows. I had to do this with my very very very old Adobe Photo Deluxe... until I finally severed the umbilical cord from Microsoft and PCs altogether.

Hi. I highly recommend ArcSoft PhotoStudio. I've tried half dozen others and its by far my favorite -- easy, does everything I want in quick time. It came with my Canon Pixma printer/scanner.
Tip: Instead of buying the software, I recommend buying a softcover book -- Digital Photo Editing for Seniors (ignore title!) by Addo Stuur. It comes with free copy of the ArcSoft software. The book is fully illustrated and makes a great Arcsoft manual. $16.95 on Amazon. 8 reviewers gave it avg. 4 1/2 stars.
