Moving auctions to fixed price should be relatively easy... but it is dogged with stupid issues that can make it a huge headache.

I will bulk relist 10-30 items at any give time, moving them from auction to fixed price. Doesn't seem to difficult, except that for some strange reason eBay defaults those fixed price listings to include a Gallery Plus image, which in some categories costs $1 each. Is there a way to set that to default as no?

Also, when I relist I make all of my changes including Allow the Make Offer Feature. Problem is that eBay doesn't offer the Automated features of Make an Offer that allows me to set automatic accept and deny amounts. So, I have to list them with the Accept Offers and then revise the listing to reflect the auto accept/deny feature. Tedious at best.

Finally, to make matters worse, when I am done editing my listings and it takes me to the next page that shows my costs to launch, I review them. If I see that there is one listing that I forgot to change something and it costs more than 20 cents, I go back to edit it. eBay manages to keep all of the settings from my previous editing... except for that Gallery Image feature. It automatically turns them ALL back to on, trying to charge me $1 for each. So, I have not only edit the one, but go back and edit all of them to remove this feature... again.

Any suggestions?

just got off the phone with ebay regarding this problem. apparently, it is a glitch that everyone should be aware of. ebay rep said they should fix it shortly. how shortly, probably depends on your definition of shortly.

basically, if you have one listing within a batch that gets free gallery plus images in it, it will automatically default to include ALL of your listings even if the category doesn't offer free gallery plus. obviously, a major headache. hopefully that gets resolved quickly.

also, no default settings in ebay to include accept/deny offers over/under certain amounts. i guess i still have to deal with revising them after they have been launched. seems a bit tedious and a waste of my time. ebay rep suggested using a 3rd party program. hmmmm.... seems to defeat the purpose of ebay's bulk listings.

rep did say there is a new bulk lister tool coming out in a few months that should take care of these issues. that would be hopeful, but i imagine with all of ebay's constant changes it will likely create other headaches. sorry for not being too optimistic about it, but eBay has a proven track record of releasing mediocre upgrades.

I have the same problem with Gallery plus ,why dont you ask Ebay and let us know ?
Did you look at automation rules to see if this is an option we can opt out??

It is a glitch with eBay. the rep said he submitted it to tech support as this was the first time he had seen it. He played around with my account some and discovered that if he removed the one listing that was under "collectibles" that it wouldn't add the Gallery Plus feature to my other listings. Basically, the work around is to list items from categories that offer free Gallery Plus separately from those that get charged for GP.

Crazy, but I guess it works. I had only one item that didn't fall into the same category as the others which is what caused the default to be checked. I guess the old saying, "one rotten apple spoils the bunch" applies here.
