Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians!
We have had a wonderful day down at the Harbour in Victoria strolling about looking at the marvellous things that people make and sell.
We also went on a tour of one of the Navy Ships the HCMS Nanaimo. My DH enjoyed that because of all the techie stuff, I wanted to see how they live day to day and the Kitchens (Galley??).
Our Legislative Buildings is on one side of the Harbour and the famous Empress Hotel on another and the lawns were just packed with people enjoying the day and listening to entertainment.
It is all still going on .....but I am not...must be showing my age although I did wear a silly red foam hat with a Maple Leaf on the front!
I chose this Country to live in 43 years ago and it was the best decision of my life.

Happy Canada Day Otteropp and Amber. I moved from Canada to Florida over 45 yrs ago. I sure don't miss those cold winters in Edmonton and Toronto. Victoria is warmer but prefer the sunny south. Have a great day. Neva

Oh Canada...
I have always had a special place in my heart for the Great White North. We used to go to Windsor and Toronto when we lived in Michigan. I was up in Vancouver a few years back and LOVE it there too.
I have to get a new passport this coming month and have Victoria and Vancouver on my list of short distance vacations.
