I listed several items this past week forgetting that this is July 4th. Since realizing the 4th was this weekend, I have considered pulling the listing and relisting it two weeks down the road, but...
One item in particular has several bids, up to $123 right now... and 57 watchers!!!
I know watchers don't mean much, but I don't think I have had more than 20 watchers, let alone 57 on something... ever!
Item #160449810853
Anyone have suggestions whether I should end it and relist it or just leave it alone and let it end on the evening of a major holiday??? There is one minor error, but it doesn't affect the item itself, it is an error I made in my shipping info which will cost me about $8.00.

I personally wouldn't be to concerned about auctions ending on a holiday. This weekend the B & M stores are gearing up for sales, every other lawn is covered with for sale treasures, the flea markets are in bloom. I suspect this might carry over to the bay!

Personally, I ignore the holiday factor. I started ending auctions on Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. years ago and it always seems to work out well. Lots of folks are at home and perusing eBay on their day off - that's my theory. And with the sniping tools available, they don't have to be at their computers anyway.

I would tend towards leaving it too. We had a busy day yesterday even being Canada Day.
BUT...I would correct the spelling of Abercrombie. You have it spelt differently in the title and the description unless you are trying to throw off the 'Abercrombie Police" who a while ago were getting quite 'Veroed out" and pulling listings but I think that was on clothing.

There are lots of buyers, some of whom are lonely, who visit eBay on holidays. I wouldn't end my listings if I were you--but that's just one person's opinion.

I agree with most of the posters here. I have never worried about the dreaded holidays and have never really noticed much difference between normal days and holidays as far as sales go.

I say leave it be. I am done worrying about holidays (except Christmas), sporting events, TV shows, etc. conflicting with closing dates on auctions. It is not like the item was only visible for one day. It has been posted for a week, so people will bid if they want to.
Also, some times people (I am in this camp) stay home for the holidays to avoid crowds and have more time to surf the web and look for goodies on Ebay.

PS: since you posted the item #, you know your watchers will climb with Vendio people watching to see how it turns out!!

I just ended it because of my misspelling in Abercrombie.
I cannot change it after the first bid, so that is what sealed the deal. I have it scheduled to be relisted tomorrow, and I'll post the item number.
The funny thing is that I originally spelled it Aberchrombie and then when I corrected that I added the "m" for no apparent reason other than being in a hurry and not paying attention.
