Since I've been looking for a deal on a netbook for a while, I decided to try Alliexpress.
Pricing is as high or higher than retail stores here sell them for.
Why would I want to purchase from a dealer in Asia, wait 3-4 weeks to get it and hope it works properly?

Because you can grab a "wholesale" price on Ali!!!
Seriously, AliExpress are for small sellers. You're looking at wholesale prices for small quantity purchases. Places like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Office Max all purchase in such huge quantities that they can offer them at a much better price. They might only make $10 a pop, but when you're selling 1000 units, that translates to $10K profit.

Why do you even bother to ask?if it is selling cheaper here?

I guess my point is that once the $20 certificates are burned up, there are no deals to be had on the "wholesale" site.
