Can someone help me id this dog breed? It kind of looks like a Brittany Spaniel but the fur is too short. The postcard is circa 1910 so the breed may have changed a bit over the years. Thanks!

He's definitely not a Brittany. He might be a pointer or foxhound but he's awfully heavily built and the ears aren't quite right to be either; could be the 1910 version of that which became today's Pit Bull or "Game" Bulldog (aka hog dog). I suspect, though, he's just someone's beloved pet of no particular breeding but which they wanted to immortalize in a photo. I love the adoring expression in his eyes.

Definetly a working dog. Look at those chest muscles!

We just call 'em bird dogs or pointers down here in the South.

mmm, should we start from the front? A "sitting bull pointer hound" aka cur.
