Can anyone recommend a site that sells magazine subscriptions for less than the going rate?

I suggest going to Google, enter the magazine you want and the word "discount" or "coupon".

I have good luck with this for just about anything. I use GoDaddy for the time being to host our website. I entered "GoDaddy Discount" and get a bunch of pages offering great discounts that save me a bunch of money.

I ordered a couple of magazine from www.magazines.com and there were no problems - they were very good about confirming the order and sending customer service numbers in case the magazines did not arrive.

Try amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_13?url=search-alias%3Dmagazines&field-keywords=subscriptions&sprefix=subscriptions

There you will also get "sponsored links" to websites that sell subscriptions

National Geographic will send out subscription offer for 8 dollars /whole year and then when you said yes, they turn around and ask for postage .
Our local PBS staton asked for donation last year and asked if you want a coffee mug free, but shipping is extra.
When the mug arrived broken, they want you to return the mug paying postage yourself and then send you a new one.
And it is the kind of mug you can get for one dollar in a dollar store.
