First off, I was checking my DSRs today and see that I am currently at 4.9, 4.9. 5.0, and 4.8 with 55 reports.

I have never had a 5.0 on a DSR report... yet just a month or so ago I was told by an eBay rep that they don't want sellers like me. Go figure.

Second, and more importantly, I discovered an article by a very popular design online magazine called Apartment Therapy.

They rated our store in their Top 5 List of Best Mid-Century Modern stores in the USA.

I find being in the Top 5 a bit odd... considering I know there are hundreds of other shops across the country that are better than ours, but I will gladly take the publicity.

Ebay said they dont want you?
I would like to know if they say the same to some buyers who scam sellers?

hwahwa- I had called into eBay because I had a customer tell me they were not given the shipping options they saw in the listing when they attempted to checkout. I called and spoke with a representative who was extremely argumentative with me. I asked for a supervisor and he refused. I was ticked because I have set up my listings to give my buyers choices for shipping so that they could decide which is better for them... but my shipping cost DSR was dinged several times and felt that it was likely because buyers weren't given both options. The eBay rep said to me that eBay doesn't want bad sellers like me who can't maintain their DSRs above the threshold and this is a way to weed them out.

everyone here knows just how difficult it is to maintain 4.9's across the board, and this is the first time I have seen my DSR in any category hit the 5.0 mark. I don't expect it to last... but it did give me something to smile about.

I've already put it on our website. I find the whole thing quite amusing. I plan to start adding it to my eBay listings as well. Ironically, I just received an email from a very good friend of ours who just got a job working at Hive... the #5 store under the New Mid-Century list.

Another very close friend of mine just had their Wine Storage facility here in Portland as a feature article in MIX magazine, and a business neighbor also was featured in a major fashion magazine.

Here is the article from MIX: http://www.oregonlive.com/mix/

The photo on front page is Joe, my friend Tom's business partner. There are some pics of Tom (red head) with his wife within the article. Funny thing... his wife used to be a Madonna impersonator. lol

I guess we're doing something right here in Portland!

Great for you Shag. Keep up the good work.

Don't let ebay's CS get you upset. They are a bunch of dummies anyway.
