There is a free one that starts with an I that a lot of people on the site use but I can't remember the name.
Can anyone help?
Picasa is a free program made by Google, and I have been suggesting it to users for a few years now as well. It's great just for image management, but it's also quick and easy to use for cropping and exporting/resizing in bulk.
Whatever people are used to is always going to be the easiest, but if someone is open to trying a new program (especially if you have just been using whatever came with your camera) - Picasa is great.

I also love the FUN features that Picasa has like the FACES.
It plucks faces from items or photos and puts them into a folder. It is fun to try to guess where they came and then you click on the image.
One totally amazed me, it was a photo of someone in our family and the FACE that was picked out by Picasa was actually from a photo in a frame on the mantlepiece that was in the original photo.....astounding to someone like me who doesn't want to know the techie details...I prefer to think of it as magic...while my hubby rolls his eyes!!
