I filled in all of the fields in the Item Specifics section of the listing and I still cannot get the item loaded onto ebay. Does the problem lay with Vendio or Ebay?

I am also having the same problem,I list 60 items a week in the 31387 watches category,since july you have only needed to check off the top box for conditon,that is the only one required.I am using SMP to write my auctions.I talked to ebay last night and they still told me the same thing,all of the other boxes are optional

I am having the same problem. All my listing in the "Household>furniture" cats are getting erros messages stating cat only uses Custom item specifics... I can list the same item into Antiques>Periods styles with no problem with same setting.
We are currently working with eBay to discover the root cause of the errors, which appear to be occurring in categories in which custom item specifics are not required. We believe this will be corrected quickly, but in the meantime you can work around the problem by deleting all item specifics values and entering them instead in custom item specifics. If you do an eBay preview, you should be able to tell whether the item will generate an error before you try launching it.

As previously announced, eBay is moving away from item attributes (item specifics) to custom item specifics, which are now required in some categories. As of 10/26/11, we are receiving reports of custom item specifics related errors. It appears that eBay has begun requiring this in more categories. If you are receiving an error that indicates the category you are listing in requires custom item specifics, you will need to edit the item and move the values in item specifics to the custom item specifics fields.
Please note that certain values are required in custom item specifics, depending on the category. Please see eBay's announcement regarding custom item specifics for more information on affected categories.
