Do not buy an Auto Page brand car alarm. They include a Lifetime Warranty, but provide absolutely no response when contacted.
We purchased an alarm (installed where we bought it) and have had nothing but problems. I have emailed them twice and called them once. No reply.
Issues:
Alarm appears to arm and disarm sporadically by itself. Last week we stayed in a hotel. I armed the alarm as we went inside. When I returned to the vehicle the next morning, the alarm was off. To make matters worse, the alarm locks and unlocks the vehicle. Fortunately, nobody entered the vehicle.
Key Fob is terrible. The buttons are raised above the body of the fob and in just 3 months the buttons have become soft. The alarm will arm or disarm when we have the keys in our pocket.
Shock sensor has been adjusted to its lowest setting and yet we continue to get false alarms when cars drive by, planes or helicopters fly over.
I just filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office.

Actually, Auto Page is a Japanese company located in California (probably for their North American distribution).
The tactic being taken by Auto Page is to ignore me until I go away. Problem is, that isn't going to happen.

I assume you have talked to the people who installed who of course insist they did nothing wrong. A recourse would be to go to have an independant professional check out the system and document the problems. Then you would have evidence for a small claims court case.

The guy who runs the stereo shop is extremely passive. When I told him about the problems with the key fob, he just shrugged his shoulders and ignored me.
I have a feeling they have heard this complaint many times before.
