I think I struck a nerve.
Yesterday (11/27)I received an email from a buyer for a sale that ended on Oct 23. It said:
Hey,hello and happy holidays,
These salt and pepper shakers have not arrived! What happened?
I went to polish em for Thanksgiving table, and realized I never got them. Thank you for your assistance.
I replied with:
Hello,
They were sent on 10/25 and according to the USPS website "Your item was delivered at 3:48 pm on October 28, 2011 in Yourtown,"
Your State, your zip code. The delivery confirmation number is xxxxxxxxxxx. I hope they are indeed somewhere in your house.
Evidently, I should have left that last line out, because she then replied with:
Hi,
Like I said, they r not here, or else I would not have sent a message.
The post office did not leave a notice card in my mail box, they did not leave a parcel.
I do not know what happened to them.
I will contact ebay for a refund, thank you for ur assistance.
As u can see from my feedback, I have hundreds of perfect transactions.
hundreds of perfect transactions.
There are lots of replies I could make - but I'm not going to. Just a little vent.

Had almost the same thing haapen to me, same dates. I proved that PO said it was delivered. She replied that someone in her office building must have stolen it. She said, "oh well, not my fault (seller).
A week later it was delivered back to me. No explanation on package from PO. I resent it & she was thrilled. No idea where it was or why the PO said it was delivered.

So, she was going to go polish them??? Who in their right mind is going to polish something that was never received???
Seriously, it truly appears she received them, put them somewhere that she forgot and then when she couldn't find them, she either assumed they didn't arrive or she is trying to scam you.
The fact that she acknowledges she went to polish them is the clue that something is wrong with this picture. Top that with the fact that she points to her stellar buyer feedback makes me want to hit delete on her email and ignore her. When she files an item not received, you can easily reference the tracking.
I bet she is married to the guy who hosted a garage sale we went to last summer. When we entered the garage, the only thing for sale was a car. Unbelievable.
