OMG, just had to ask. Of my last 40 sales, 20 have gone to Texas (I am in NJ). Tyler, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Pantego, etc. etc. What's up!! Are oil wells in everyone's back yard??
Not complaining, mind ya, just astonished at the #s!!
The stars are shining bright....

What are these Texans buying?
2 prominant Houston antique shops folded-River Oaks Antique and Hart Gallery years ago,may be antique dealers in smaller towns are stocking up??
There is a thrift shop affiliated with a hospital and local dealers shop there, may be with the poor economy, donors are not so charitable giving to charity.

Unemployement rate in Texas is 8.6% I live in Pasco county Florida and it is 13.1% Needless to say workers in Texas need tools and of course guys are buying sporting goods. Where I live they are selling these items to survive.
I think antiques and collectables are dead or at least are in my area. Prices are down 50% or more and still slow to sell.

A quick check shows there may be as many a 400,000 millionaires in Texas with the highest concentration in Harris county. This would indicate that there might be a couple million or more in the 6 figure or high 5 figure incomes and on down the line.
Sell on Marrie!!!
