Went into my PayPal acct. today and there was a notice above the usual looking account page saying "it appears you use an old browser version that might have security issues. To upgrade click this link"... (perhaps not exactly word for word, but that's the general idea). My question is, does that seem legit to you?? I'm a nervous nelly about links. Thanks for any help.

Yes, it was the PayPal site. I used the short-cut from the My eBay page to get into it. It showed the safety encrypted lock thingy at the top of the screen as usual...I always look for that...but the banner notice came up too.

I have been getting the same message on and off for a couple of weeks.
I am sure it is legit but I still won't click on a link that PayPal provides.
If I want to upgrade I will handle it myself I don't need PayPal telling me to do it!
I am getting a little testy lately as we already have eBay/PayPal telling us how we should treat our customers and now they want to tell us what programs/broswers to have in out computers.
I would like to post my own message to them asking them to stay out of my business!
