Just a reminder that new increased USPS Rates will be enacted on January 27, 2013.

There are some whopper increases on International Flat Flat Rate Envelopes and Boxes.

USPS intl shipping is worthless when it comes to seller protection,as most do not have signature confirmation trackable online if you are selling anything over 250 dollars.
As for item under 250,depends on country, some country does not upload tracking information.
The only way you will get online trackable DC and signature confirmation is Global Express which is run by Fed Exp for our post office.

But, if you take your priority boxes to the PO without preprinted labels, you no longer need to pay for DC.

A 2 ounces first class package to Australia used to be $3.78 and it is now $6.77,a 44% increase.

Lost, if you took your items to the PO with written labels, not preprinted. DC was 75 cents for priority & 85 cents for first class.

I often did that if I only had a few boxes or the size, weight was questionable.

why cant you print your labels online and then schedule USPS pickup?
Or is pickup not available in your area?

Pickup is available, but sometimes it is just more convenient for me to take it to the PO.

I do not want to wait around, I do not trust leaving packages outside, etc.

I have rented a mail box with a mail box drop off place, they used to charge $1 for leaving a USPS package with them, now they have been warned not to do so,but they still charge $1 for UPS package.
For some reasons,I just dont feel safe leaving them any package, what if they get robbed?
Insurance co is not going to cover any loss if it is never shipped?

OK, I am confused.

DC, it is free now even if you take a package to the PO without a prepaid label. What about first class?? It is 90 cents at the PO. When I looked it up on the USPS website, it still says 90 cents even if paid online. Is this true if paid thru PayPal, also?? 90 cents for DC on first class mail?? Thanks!!

Just had a bidder who's had a totally confusing time trying to pay. She got the total Sunday at auction's end, but it said something different (much higher)late last night PST when she went to pay using the "new" parcel "select" post. Nearly $3 more than earlier. She asked me to stuff the item into a smaller box to save postage, which I can't do, it's stiff leather, and put the "savings" in cash in with the item! Now she's paid twice with Paypal, because it's showing up as "unpaid" in her account. She says this is the last time she'll buy on ebay and use Paypal. I'm having to deal with refunding etc. What a mess!
I have a Canadian non-payer who I think has balked at the leap in International rates.
I was really hoping the USPS wasn't going to wither and die, but now I am inclined to go join my fellow villagers with flaming torches....
