So, I bought a battery for my cell phone a few weeks ago. I scanned through the list of sellers offering the battery and settled for a USA seller so that I would receive the item sooner and so that if there are problems I can deal with it in the US, not to return it internationally.
After 2 weeks, it finally arrived on Monday. The envelope was from China, not the USA. Right away, a red flag.
So, I put it in my phone and charged it to 100%. Used internet for about 5 minutes today, made about 20 minutes of calls, sent about 5 text messages and the rest of the day it was idle. Phone was at 18% by 6pm. By comparison, my other battery which I used for a year would be around 45% after using it throughout the day.
So, I go back to Amazon and I cannot see where the seller indicates they are from. No other items for sale on Amazon. Ironically, the listing for the item that all sellers use clearly indicates that "This item is only available for shipping within the USA."
I called Amazon, and they told me I have to contact the seller and make arrangements for the item to be returned. My understanding was that I was purchasing within the USA, so this wouldn't be an issue.
Amazon's solution is for them to contact the seller to make arrangements. If they don't respond within 48 hours they will start an "A-Z claim" which will take 2-3 weeks to process.
Needless to say, I am not impressed by Amazon, nor how this seller listed this item.

No. Actually, I paid more because they stated the item was being shipped within the USA.
The price was within $2.50 of the highest priced item (except for Amazon).
I already know the "too good to be true" scam. I did everything correct. This seller is nothing more than a scammer.
I noticed a new feedback left by another seller who has the EXACT same problem, in fact, they pointed out something I didn't catch. In their feedback they noted that the water damage label was missing. After inspecting mine vs. my older battery, this "new" battery does not have the water damage label either.
