I just remember why it is so important for sellers to ship promptly,never mind the buyer wants it yesterday,it has to do with credit card rules.
When your customer pays you with a credit card,you get paid instantly on Paypal,or the next 24-48 hours if you have your own merchant account and credit card rules that you ship either immediately or same day or next day.(within 24 hours).
Now if a buyer uses PAYPAL,you may not know what he is using,e chck,paypal fund or credit card,Paypal will ask you to ship within 3 days,I think.
When we sign up with Paypal,most of us dont read the terms of agreement,I believe it is in the agreeement you agree to ship within certain number of days.
It used to be 24 hours and then Paypal extends it.
There is a seller who come to this board and posted her problem several year ago,she sold a laptop for 1500 and it is a drop shipment.
Her dropshhipper did not ship on time and 7 days have past and the buyer filed item not received and got his money back.
In the mean time,the laptop has been shipped by the drop shipper and is on its way to the buyer.
Bottom line is,dropshipper gets the money,buyer gets the laptop free and the Ebay seller lost money.she came to this board and ask whose rule is it that she has to ship the laptop within a certain number of days?Well,she should have read the PAYPAL agreement when she signed up.

Funny thing... we are always complaining about all the screws eBay turns on the seller, and often forget about what the major credit card companies do to sellers.
eBay is a drop in the bucket compared to the protections credit card companies give their customers at the expense of merchants.
