I am having a problem with revised auctions failing to stay revised. I recently revised auction 370821833302 to remove the free shipping TWICE as well as price and text changes. I just had a customer do a buy it now, and it had revered to free shipping and all my revisions were gone. I am a well experienced ebay user (2001). I have had it happen to several auctions, and finally just removed them. I keep going until I get the screen "you have revised your auction successfully (or similar wording), so I know that I have completed the operation of revisions.

The auction in question says I only revised the picture (galley). NONE of my revisions were to the picture, all were to make tests revisions and remove the free shipping notations and price adjustments while the auction was live, I have never revised a picture on a live auction, EVER.

Further, I attempted to get ahold of Vendio customer service on this, and all I get is an inoperable screen. How do you get ahold of Vendio. Been a customer for 12 years. You would think they would make it as easy as ebay.

Hello,

Were sorry to hear that your having problems getting the help page to load.

The first thing to note is that posting questions here isn't quite as helpful to you as posting them into the services forums, where we monitor more regularly for questions from members. This specific board is more for sellers talking to each other, though we try to keep an eye on it from time to time.

Next to the actual issue your running into with revising items. So you list the item, then go to eBay to make your revision. On your next attempt/test, as soon as your done making your revision, go straight back to the item to confirm the changes appear. Check also eBay's little tattle tale system that shows what's been revised and when to see if your changes were logged correctly. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to address the issue from your Vendio account, but were more than happy to assist where we can with this.

If eBay shows the revisions were saved and loggs them into their history/log, but the revisions don't appear to have stuck later on - the next question would be - is this the same item number? Or has the item since been relisted, either by eBay as a Good Till Cancelled item, or by you of your Vendio account as a result of manually relisting or automatically relisting unsold items? If it's the latter, this might make sense, as you may be resubmitting your original details and not sending through your changes again. If you go to relist an item from Vendio, and *if* you had made changes to that items details since it was originally posted - be sure to use the 'edit' option prior to resubmitting the item so you can change your master copy as well, or eBay will end up with a copy of this item using your original data.

As to why you can't get the help page to load - that one is strange. Let's try some basic things first to eliminate possible sources. First clear your Temporary Internet Files from Internet Explorer and restart the browser and computer. Next, try accessing this page from an alternate browser on the same computer, like Google Chrome or FireFox and see if the behavior persists.

Regards,
Chris

Hello,

I started digging some more, and found that your item 370821833302 was relisted from item 271207246343.

Item 271207246343 *does* show as having been revised to change the shipping details.

Since there was a 2 day period of time between one item closing and the next item going live, the item was relisted manually.

In the future, when you click to relist an item from the closed or post sale section in your Vendio account - *if* you had made revisions at eBay since the item went live and *if* you want those changes to be included in your next relist of this item - use the 'edit' button in the relist flow to make those same changes here to your master copy of that item. This will then send those changes back over to eBay and then retain those changes for this record going forward.

Regards,
Chris

Thanks for responding. I have now found a different way in to your customer service that seems to work. Might be my computer.

First, what service forums? Didn't know you have them, had very very few problems in over 12 years, not much to contact you about.

Second, thanks for the investigation. I know I revised the item twice, and it still failed. I wonder why the relisted one was bad, but the original showed revised. You at least were able to see my problem, I did not lose my mind!!!!

Are you open for a suggestion? In the screen where you have open, pending and closed auctions, if I relist closed unsold auctions, they show up in the "pending" box with the date they are to be released, but they still continue to show up in the closed listings as unsold until they are actually relisted. Is there a way to eliminate the pending auctions from the closed section as soon as they are scheduled to be relisted? This would end a bit of confusion and make it easier to track relisted unsold items.

second, in the pending auctions, is there a way to put a line all the way to the copy box from the auction? It gets a little confusing trying to see if you have the right item for relisting after tracking all the way across the page.

Thanks

Hello,

When you are on the community page with the links to all of the forums, the one labeled 'Vendio Services' is the one we actively monitor for questions about our tools.

We would be happy to pass along your suggestions on editing the relisted item behaviors (or making them optional for users that depend on the current system) and making a more obvious line across to the copy link for pending listings.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
Regards,
Chris
