I think I have found the shopping cart service for our business.

I'm probably going with Magento. This service has many plug ins that allow me to do what I need including having listings that provide a Make An Offer and integrate inventory with eBay.

I have done some research and found this is the most popular shopping cart system out there and is used by Nike, TOMS, and other large retailers. What I like about that is that it gives me experience using a program that is popular in case I find a job down the road.

They offer a 30 day trial and their starting website with 100 sku inventory is $15 a month.

Anyone else use this? If so, thoughts please.

Have you looked at Volusion?

I know only a little about Magento & Volusion but may look into them further if I decide I want to come out of full retirement & go into semi-retirement.

I would be interested in opinions too!

Heading to the Oregon Coast for the month of September & will be thinking of it while we are driving along..

There is also 3DCarts which gets high marks and is used by many companies.

I've read very positive reviews on Magento including their plug ins. The eBay inventory plug in is free and has an average of 4.5 star reviews of 5. It updates inventory across platforms.

It has other plug ins too, including the ability to create a store within a facebook page, etc.

The others offer 7-14 trials, which isn't enough to gauge anything. Magento is better with 30 day trials... but you won't know what works for quite some time. The $15 monthly fee is reasonable and doesn't have any other fees. Payment processing is handled through outside companies including Paypal and others.

Today marks 10 years to the day that we set off for our pre-grand opening vacation. We left Portland with the intentions of making it to Boise, but the highway was closed an hour before the Idaho/Oregon border, so we camped.

We were on our way to Salt Lake City and then Lake Tahoe seeing a few concerts. We took that time to decide on a business name and everything else.

We opened our doors on July 31, 2003... so this month marks our 10 year anniversary!!!
