I just learned last night on August 6th,15000 Ebay sellers found out they are either restricted or suspended from listing due to low DSR.
Does anyone have more details?
Did they go elsewhere to sell or is this a temporary situation?

The impression I got from a Google search is the accounts were put on hold.
It appears from the comments that many of the 15k had low shipping DSR's
I hope they were given a chance prior to this to make changes or defend themselves
WE know some customers order stuff walk to the nearest window and if they don't a package being delivered they ding the seller!

low DSR!
They could be selling goods they dont have in stock.
Some said some of these sellers were selling fake Iphones?

Curious, but does a seller get an automatic 5 star for shipping time if they upload the tracking number by the next business day?
I was concerned that only sellers who are enrolled in next day shipping and offer a return policy are qualified, but I believe any seller gets an auto 5 star for shipping time if the tracking number is uploaded within a day.
We have 3 day handling on all of our items, however at least 90% of items we sell are shipped same or next day. Seldom is it longer. I am curious to know if we get 5 stars automatically or not for those items.

I don't think so Shag. It's the buyer who rates that not ebay. I think the only auto 5 stars is for free shipping. I could be wrong and it would be nice if that was the case.

You automatically get 5 stars for shipping cost, not shipping time if you offer free shipping, thats my understanding.
I agree, shipping time is rated by buyer, not Ebay,so if I upload tracking within 24 hours but I dont ship it promptly or the carrier has problem ,buyer could give me a lower rating on shipping time.
I was negged by 2 buyers last Xmas, one is in Australia and the first class package took 30 days to arrive, although I uploaded tracking and shipped the same day.
The other buyer is from California,Ebay stated on my item page that first class mail takes 3-5 days, but around Xmas,USPS loaded the plane with priority mail.
first class mail took 30 days to arrive.

"You'll automatically receive a 5-star shipping time detailed seller rating if:
* You specify either same business day or 1 business day handling.
* You upload US Postal Service, UPS, or FedEx supported tracking information by the end of the next business day (Pacific Time) after the buyer's payment clears. For same business day handling, upload tracking within 1 business day. A business day is a normal weekday. Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays aren't business days.
* Tracking data must show the package as having a status of "delivered" with a delivery date within 4 days of payment clear.
Note: In some instances, there may be a delay in processing your shipping details, and buyers may be able to leave you a detailed seller rating for shipping time. If you've met the automatic 5-star shipping time requirements, your rating will be adjusted to 5 stars."
