What am I doing wrong? I have marked on my auctions through Vendio that I only ship to the US. I am getting a rash of Russian buyers that are winning my auctions and I can't seem to figure out how to block these bidders. If they have a US address and pay in US funds that's fine but some are strictly Russia. Help!!!

I had the same problem a month or so ago. Had to cancel sales to countries I didn't ship to, but have had no trouble lately.

Hello,

Please check your eBay account settings and make sure that you are blocking buyers who have a primary shipping address in a country you do not ship to. This setting is located in your eBay account by going to "Account" --> "Site Preferences" --> click "Show" to the right of "Buyer requirements" under "Selling Preferences" --> click the "Edit" link to the right --> then check the box under the header "Buyers in locations to which I don't ship".

Regards,
Nathan

Nathan,

I have double and triple checked on ebay to make sure that box is checked. It has been and still is yet I'm still getting Russian bidders with Russian addresses and most don't speak English at all so communicating is a struggle. Not sure what to do at this point.

When you list an item, there is also a place where you specify what region you ship to,and you can see specific countries within that region, you can click on and off those countries you dont ship to.
Did you see it on your listing/
It is where you specify overseas shipping/

I used to have a shop on Yahoo shopping.
When a customer places an order,he will pull down the country tab to complete the order,if he cannot find Nigeria, then he will pick Norway!
The Yahoo seller will print out the shipping label with a Nigerian address and country code of Nigeria but the country name is Norway.
Fed Exp sent the package to its office in Norway and they figure it is meant for Nigeria,so they will forward it to Nigeria and charge you for extra shipping.
Same with Indonesian scammers, they will pick Singapore or Australia or Malaysia, once it arrives in Australia or Singapore or Malaysia, the local office will recognise the country code of ID and figure it is Indonesia ,and forward it to Indonesia.

Hello,

Could you please let us know one of the specific listings where this happened, so that we can check your Vendio settings for the listing?

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

I checked this listing and I do see that it was listed with only domestic shipping (and no international shipping options turned on). Could you please check with eBay to see if they can tell why the international bidders are able to purchase your items? There might be another setting on their end that needs to be changed.

Regards,
Nathan

Do their Paypal shipping address say Russia and their Ebay shipping address say USA?

Figured it out. For some reason all the countries I don't ship to became unchecked on ebay. Had to go in and check them again. Rep at ebay says every few months I should go in and check my settings t make sure they haven't changed. Thank you Nathan and all for advice. Appreciate it.

Is this another Ebay glitch?

More than likely it it is tied to periodic system updates. Even the giant eBay or vendio system cannot insure that every box the 100's of 1000's of sellers may check or un-check will be remembered.
