The auction with the words "Cotton Carnival" in the title failed to launch on eBay last night as scheduled, with an error reading "item not found in ebays database".
What would cause this? I can find nothing wrong with the listing.

I know when you list a movie ,Ebay has a data base which contains the contents of the movie and it will find it and include it in your item description.
Maybe Ebay thinks this is a movie or book and want to find the decription for you?
where did you list the item?
call ebay

I was not aware that eBay had a database such as you describe- I have not listed movie music for awhile, perhaps it is something new, although I can't imagine what they would add to my very complete descriptions. This was listed in the sheet music category, and if I don't get an answer from Vendio, I will indeed call eBay, although I am reluctant to devote the time I know it will take to get an answer from them!

After trying several times to re-launch the item with the same error message, I called eBay and was told this is not their problem but Vendios. I tried contacting Vendio via their email system but not sure if it went through. Vendio's chat and phone are not available...I am frustrated!

I would have to re-do the entire auction in order to list it via eBay - I've listed through Vendio for over 15 years and I'm hoping to get this problem resolved. My messages to Vendio don't seem to send either- I just get a blank page after submitting the message. I'm hoping a Vendio rep. will answer me via this forum.

Hello,

Submitting a copy of this item will allow it to post, as when we send it to eBay as a relist of it's previous item number eBay isn't recognizing that item any longer. This can happen every so often for older items being relisted.

We made a copy of this item for you, so the item in pending now should be ready to post when your ready to do so.

Regards,
Chris

Thanks again, Chris - I appreciate your explaining it to me, and have made a note to follow your instructions and make a copy if it ever happens again.
Best Wishes,
Yvonne
