I looked up Ebay Q&A on seller protection-
what is the difference between Paypal and Ebay seller protection?
It said for Paypal, payment of $250 or more requires signature confirmation, but Ebay it is $750 or more.
Is this still valid,I guess if I read it on Ebay site,it must be valid, then since when did Ebay change the policy?
Another question-does it apply to overseas shipping?

I know the $750 is the limit for buyers not to have signature confirmation to return items. I wasn't aware that it was for sellers too. I always assumed it was still $250.
The one thing I wish I could do with my Fed Ex account is set it up to automatically include signature confirmation for any values $250 or above. Unfortunately, they do not do that.

It is my understanding that Fed Exp ,UPS and DHL if you specify signature required, they will seek signature from the recipient.
I dont use them ,but I have received packages delivered by them, and in most cases,I have to sign.
$750 for return merchandise, thats new to me,I will try to find the seller protection I come across this morning which said sellers dont need signature confirmation for under $750.
It is under the discussion -what is the difference between Paypal and Ebay seller protection, there is no mention of buyer returning merchandise.

This is from Ebay seller protection-
Protection when shipping within stated time: if a buyer claims that they did not receive an item, the related eBay Buyer Protection case will be found in your favor if you shipped within your stated handling time and provided tracking information (with signature confirmation for transactions of $750 or more) before the case was escalated to eBay.
To be protected, the tracking information will need to show proof of delivery from a shipping company that clearly displays the delivery status of the item as “delivered”, the date of delivery (which reflects that you shipped within the stated handling time), and the recipient’s address.

SO $750 or more requires signature confirmation, thats rather generous

I have a question.
If you insure something for say $300, doesn't USPS require a signature? If so, wouldn't that cover you for a signature confirmation.

there is not much difference between first class mail and USPS priority unless you are shipping far away, for me it would be CA or NY,so what I do is to ship first class and use the savings to buy signature confirmation.

On ETSY website, there is an article saying USPS now has tracking information for more countries for USPS priority envelope, etc soon.
