Fed Ex has a system called Integration Manager. It automatically imports paid transactions from eBay and Etsy (there are other companies too) into their system. I then can print the labels after I enter weight, dimensions, and shipping method.
It has worked ok for the most part. The only major issue I had experienced up until today was that it would sometimes not import transactions. Fed Ex told me to sign out and sign back on to repopulate the list. This works sometimes.
Today I receive a package back misdelivered. I spent an hour on the phone with Fed Ex. The address they imported was in New York, yet the eBay address shown states Miami Beach.
This was shipped May 26. Today is June 13. So, now the shipment is considerably late. I contacted the buyer who also happens to be a newbie.
I hope that they are understanding. I did ask them if they recognized the mailing address in NYC. I am curious if somehow they changed it and it caused this problem. I guess we'll have to see.
Ugh! Technology. Can't live with it, can't live without it!

so what is the difference between printing a Fed Exp label on Ebay and having the transaction imported to Fed Exp site and print it there?

We get better discounts and also benefits with our Fed Ex account... however, if this is how it will be, there is no benefit to them making mistakes on my behalf.
