Here's hoping that someone can come up with some advice on a computor problem I'm having of late.
When I click on a link button, the back button or the forward button, it very often won't respond. If I click the link two or thee times rapidly in succesion it occaisionally works.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening?
In the last week I have replaced the keyboard and mouse but this as not made any difference to the problem.
Thanks in anticipation.

Try checking your ram (add more), and you might check to be sure that you don't have two anti-virus programs running at the same time. (I did this once and it gave that type of result) Also try closing all non-essential programs from the sys tray (right click small icons in bar and exit them.) Then surf. Good luck!

In windows there is a acessibility option, in your accessories folder. There is something in there about clicking time - also you might want to go into your control panel and check on "Mouse Options" they might have something about click speed in there.

I know that this may seem far-fetched, but I recently fixed the same problem on one of our pcs at work. What fixed it was to totally uninstall ZoneAlarm firewall and re-install it. That didn't fix it the first few times I uninstalled and reinstalled ZoneAlarm until I realized that the ZoneAlarm uninstall program leaves behind a settings file. You have to manually remove that one file and the ZoneAlarm web site even has instructions on how to do it.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your help.
Uninstalling and re-installing Zone Alarm made a significant difference.
It looks like an upgrade of RAM is going to be next on the things to do list.

Bob, Downunder but never down.
