"A suicide leads to a long-lost $4 million classic sports coupe, and a looming court fight"
"Long-lost classic sports coupe has Shelby pedigree, an uncertain future"

This article was in the paper this morning. I found it fascinating, and part of the ending is bittersweet. A life lost, a multi-million dollar classic car found, a couple reunited, and a court battle....

I find it extremely sad that the woman killed herself the way she did. #$@& the car. The image I have in my head of her walking down a path with her two pet rabbits and setting herself on fire to commit suicide is depressing.

Well, I think the daughter had some mental problems or something. Obviously she knew what she had. There was a picture of her accompanying the article, and she was quite attractive.

But I agree, the story is depressing and heartwarming at the same time.

Finding humor in this sad case is confusing.

It must be me.

Sad, isn't it, that someone could go missing for days and not be missed by anyone.

------

Nothing like greed to bring out all of the vultures.

I learned that first-hand when my mother died. Not only was I shocked by it, but it sickened me.

I was terribly naive about such things then.

Now, I'm just cynical.

------

We have an acquaintance who owns a Cobra. I never see him driving it for pleasure, but he does show it at a local car show (this Sunday is the show). I never paid much attention to it until my husband said they were worth a lot of money, when one happened to pass us on the interstate.

Hepburn and Zilvy

Wow! I just returned to find that you have twisted my silly little innocuous remark on this thread all to hell.

Humor is my usual response to just about everything and I would be the last poster here to object to a humorous remark about
anything!

Chill!!!

Helen

Actually, Helen, I didnt pay much attention to what you said in your post. And again, you twist things yourself, thinking its about you you you. I think you are the one that needs to chill. Remember, it always isnt about YOU.

Humor is my usual response to just about everything

There, there. Calm down, Helen. It's alright. You're right about vultures, but who's really going to get upset if some woman cobra hoarder choses to barbeque herself? She was apparently something of a marshmellow anyway. Still, maybe some word other than "chill" could be found?

HJW I pointed out my use of the disclaimer to my explanation of "krs" humor and referenced the disclaimer to you in humor; due to the fact that once upon a time when you tried to explain a krs post he became, how to put this politely, oh yes, miffed at you! That was all, Helen.
