I recently bought a hamster and a kitten to go with my humongous (sp?) dog that I'm picking up from my mom next weekend. The hamster's been named fuzzball, the dog already has his name, but I cannot think of a name for this kitten.
He is 4 wks old (too early to be away from his mommy imo), bluegray, fluffy, and hollars about everything. He's scared of his own shadow. He's really cute.
Anyone got a good name to name him??

For mother's day 8 years ago, my teenage sons bought me a Persion/Angora mix. She was a beautiful kitten. All fluffy, solid white yet not deaf, and carried her tail high and proud. But thankfully, she didn't have the smooshed in face. She looks more Angora than Persian.
Anyway, I was gonna call her FluffBall, 'cause that's all she was. Then F.B. for short, then that became Phoebe (Fee Bee).
Then last year I got a solid silver Ragdoll. And I mean Ragdoll, I can hold him anyway I want and he loves it. I was gonna call him Charcoal because of his color. He truly is beautiful. Anyway Charcoal became Charlie.
By the way, both my cats are inside only, bathed regularily, and both neutered.
Not my name on ebay.

It doesn't seem to matter what I name my critters -- I always end up calling them something else!
Jack (yorkie) became "Buddy-Buddy" or "Munchkin", depending on the mood (Buddy-Buddy at play time, Munchkin at cuddle time).
Taffie (yorkie) became "Penguin" because she sits up when she hears or sees something weird and she looks just like a penguin.
Dustie (shih tzu) became "Doodle". Why, I don't know, but it stuck.

Why did you purchase, or even offer to take a 4 week old kitten? This baby probably isn't properly weened yet and will have a multitude of health problems as well as socialization problems throughout it's life. I don't mean to rain on your parade about getting a kitten ~ but people encourage *breeders* to continue with inappropriate breeding and responsibility (or lack thereof)when they except things the way they are. For any proper breeder 12-16 weeks is the norm. For backyard breeders 6-8 weeks is the norm. Anything younger than that is just from someone who doesn't know better or doesn't care. In which case I'd have to question the general health and wellbeing of the parents of the animal. (Even if this is an orphan, no one is going to let it go until it is of proper age ~because whoever has been raising it has been momma and that needy stage is not over with until approximately 8-10 weeks).
With that in mind, I'd be sure to bring it to a vet and make sure that the breeder signs a contract saying that they will either take it back if found to be unhealthy at any point w/in 2 years.. or they will be responsible for the vet bills if some genetic problem arises during that time.

Chewey, so your dog has a new toy to call by name! LOL!! In all honesty, I would call him Samwise, after my favorite character in the "Hobbit" series.

We had a Russian Blue, blue grey with a silver cast. We named her frosty, because her coloring reminded us of the frost in the fall. Just a hint of silver...

I'll be in clifton forge next weekend to reclaim my dog from my mommy She's happy about it lol. He's been chewing up everything in his sight.
I've raised kittens with a bottle before, I know what I'm doing.
